The following information are what employers look in prospective candidates' resume:

Note: It is always a good idea to introduce yourself in your CV but never put in more than a page.

1.  Your Job Description (JD) should be as detailed and as comprehensive as possible.

You should describe your key or core functions, followed by routine work.

2.  If you are in a managerial position, you should include your "measurable" accomplishment.

     Examples of measurable accomplishment are:

     (a) ...able to close a deal worth RM5 million.

     (b) ...manage to save the company RM 2 million by employing new system of...

     (c) ...efficiency of the new method have increased productivity by 25%.

     (d) ...handled the mergers of the two companies involving 2,000 employees.

3.  Besides your present position you may have to indicate what other "inter-divisional"

     function that you hold;

Examples: Member in the Audit Committee, ...experience in Disciplinary Committee as

a Panel Member, ...one of the member in the re-engineering of the company overall

     corporate restructuring exercise.

4.  Your CV should be in reverse chronological order (i.e. your present position first

followed with your previous one and so on.

5.  Your CV should be as simple and straight-forward as possible. Do not format in a

complicated manner and do not "word-protect" it (cannot be edited): because

clients/employers usually want the CVs to be re-formatted to their standards.

They (HR) may have hundreds of CVs to go through, if yours are complicated or

cannot be edited, possibility it will end at the bottom of the pile!

Always remember: Your CV is the mirror of your character.

If the CV is done in a slipshod manner, it will reflect on you!
